In the months leading up to Halloween, you may notice a number of temporary store fronts pop up to sell costumes. Many of these stores are owned and operated by Spirit of Children. In addition to spreading some holiday cheer for local communities, Spirit of Children also conducts in-store fundraising campaigns for Child Life Programs around the country. Two years ago, Spirit of Children chose the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital as one of their recipients. During that first year, Spirit of Children donated just over $41,000, and this January we received over $53,000! Frank Platas, Director of Spirit Halloween Stores Eastern Region, and Ginger Silvey, Zone Manager Spirit Halloween Stores NYC/Northern Jersey, recently visited the RWJ University Hospital Foundation to present a donation check to Brian Agnew, Senior Vice President for Development. We are very grateful for this most generous gift and look forward to the 2014 Halloween season!
