From time to time, The RWJ University Hospital Foundation undertakes
special capital and equipment campaigns on behalf of Robert
Wood Johnson University Hospital. The campaign for The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is a fine example of capital giving.
The
first free-standing children's hospital in the state of New Jersey
is among the most advanced in the nation. More than 45 pediatric
specialty services are offered at the new $62 million, 160,000 square
foot state-of-the-art building which features: 70 private rooms
all with in-room sleeping for parents; Level 1 Pediatric Trauma
Center with Pediatric Commitment and Emergency Department; Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit with the lowest mortality rate in a national
study; a Family Resource Center; Child Life Rooms and more.
