Portable North Pole Messages from Santa Benefit BMSCH

SantaEach holiday season, the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital participates in the Portable North Pole (PNP) Children’s Hospital Program. The Portable North Pole console is an online portal where users can create personalized messages from Santa Claus. The site is overwhelmingly popular – since its launch in 2008, over 100 million videos have been created and viewed. The site also sells other personalized products and donates a portion of those proceeds to children’s hospitals around the nation based on the number of purchases in that state. Hospitals also benefit if they include PNP in their own fundraising campaigns that in turn generate sales. In March the RWJ University Hospital Foundation received $1,604 in donations from the 2013 season. Over $65,000 total was distributed to 41 children’s hospitals, which represented an 85% growth in donation amounts from 2012.
