Annual Children’s Health Golf Outing Raises $115,000 To Benefit Children’s Health Programs At The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital And The Child Health Institute Of New Jersey

New Brunswick, NJ – The RWJ University Hospital Foundation and The Foundation of UMDNJ are pleased to announce that nearly $115,000 was raised from their Children’s Health 14th Annual Golf Outing held recently at The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes. Under the leadership of Golf Committee Chair and RWJUH Foundation Trustee Bob Ciatto, the event has raised a total of $1 million during its 14-year history.

All proceeds support The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), and the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ) at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS).

“Bob continues to lead by example and we are deeply grateful for him generously serving as our outing’s Overall Sponsor this year,” says Stephen K. Jones, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson Health System. “There is no pediatric academic medical campus like us anywhere in New Jersey and that’s because generous individuals like Bob and those who support our golf outing allow us to grow and provide outstanding children’s health care services to our community.”

“We are grateful for the support given to the Child Health Institute of New Jersey and the Department of Pediatrics through the annual Children’s Health Golf Outing,” adds Peter S. Amenta, MD, PhD, dean of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. “Reaching $1,000,000 in support enables the medical school, along with our partners on the pediatric health campus in New Brunswick, to research childhood diseases in an effort to prevent and provide even better treatments for our youngest patients.”
